I sometimes wonder whether anyone studies philosophy on your island. Seems like a lot of lawyers, bureaucrats and administrators are working with the premise that Singapore is one big lab, instead of a real country country. I wonder if they ever question if material progress does not equate a better standard of life.

I remember back in uni a friend who had learned prostitution was legal in Singapore came up to me and yelled,
"PROSTITUTION IS LEGAL BUT YOU PUNISH GAY SEX? WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?"
So, yeah.
