I particularly like:
- assumption: something to be examined when it is our opponent's and taken for granted when it is our own,
- bigot/fanatic: someone who believes something I don't believe, and
- paradigm: a thing that shifts, thus proving that scientists make up their findings.

now, you have a happy looking blog!
i tried to post a comment on your latest post, but the server wasn't found, or some other equally irritating shit like that popped out.
so i'm posting this comment (reference to the fingernails) here.
i haven't had long nails since... God was wearing diapers. it's just too much of a hassle, and i just have no time to keep fussing over cuticles and whatnot or pore over every little grain of dirt that manages to find it's way underneath them.
besides, it's fun to chew 'em off, and then spend the rest of the evening wallowing in guilt and envy at at other people's 200 dollar french manicure.
i'm just so ungirly like that.
just so you know, i'm going to link you. it's about time anyways.
lm > Obviously, you haven't visited in a while ;)
the maine minx > Yeah, there was something weird going on with the servers last night. But I think I've sorted out that post now.
Re: long nails. I don't find them too much of a hassle --- easier to keep clean than short ones, IMO! But I wash my hands a lot ;) I am a chronic nail-biter too, which is why, I think, I luxuriate in having long nails because I won't bite them (though I'll still pick at the sides, sigh) because I don't want to wreck them. Whereas for short nails, the propensity for damage is much higher (and short-lived, since the wrecked nail'll grow back soon anyway).
Thanks for the link!
