In no particular order, I need:
- A WorkSpace.
- A less hyperactive cat.
- An electrician --- or rather, someone who can figure out how to detach our ceiling light covers so that we can replace the lightbulbs. We have been living with only one working light (instead of the two needed to illuminate the whole space) in our bedroom for more than three years, and now the lightbulb in our attached (ensuite) bathroom has given up the ghost too. Anyone know a good handyman who can fix anything?
- A vacation.
- A drink.
This blog post has been brought to you by the vices of workoholism and coffee addiction, and the sublime delight of a champagne truffle mooncake.

edm is not the place to be if you're looking for a better place to work. cubicles and desks and precarious shelves of books. sarah tells me you thought about coming here. we'd be working together! although you'd probably be above me. first teacher now boss. (covert blogsurfing during office hours.)
Oh please, you don't need an electrician to change your lightbulbs for you. That's like hiring a zookeeper to come feed your cat. Why not just get a table lamp if you don't want to trouble yourselves with ceiling bulbs?
Get you cat neutered/speyed, that should do the trick.
suzie > I highly doubt I would be your boss --- not that power lah. But we should have a coffee or drink some time to compare notes on what it's like on either side of the fence ;)
Mr S > No, no --- the electrician is not to change the lightbulbs per se. The electrician is to figure out how to get the bloody light open because we have tried and tried (since 2003) and failed and failed, and the bulb cover won't budge, and now the situation is critical.
A table lamp would work, er, if we had tables in the bedroom :) But I actually like our ceiling lights!
Oh, and Ink's been sterilised already. He's just freaking temperamental --- sedate and half-conscious one day, bouncing off the walls the next.
it's a long shot but how about getting in touch with the folks who fixed up the lights? wes
Try posting up a picture of the light fixture? Maybe one of your readers has a similar one at home.
"How many Singaporeans does it take to change a lightbulb?"
It's always a bad sign when your light fixtures are out-smarting you. I can't believe none of Terz's photo friends aren't handy with their tool-set. Where are the real men these days? ;p
