kern v. To adjust space between (characters) in typeset text.
Does that make me more of a geek that I've known what kerning is for the past twelve years at least?
Ya a bit. And I can sit right by you on the geek bench because I also know what kern means. Blame it on a week spent at the university press doing layout and typesetting where I also lifted a copy of the Photoshop manual because they had like a gazillion copies just sitting in a corner.
Eiyer. So sad.
